New Thrift Discovery: Fia’s Fabulous Finds in Petworth!

After a meeting this past Friday, I decided to check out Fia’s Fabulous Finds, a local thrift/consignment store in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, DC. Fia’s is located at 806 Upshur St NW, Washington, DC 20011.

I walked in and Fia, the owner, offered us apple cider and margaritas while we shopped. Ummm yes!!

There is a lot to choose from at Fia’s and there are pieces for everyone, no matter your style or price range. She even has a basement with clearance items where nothing is over $10!

Below are a couple of my treasures from Fia’s Fabulous Finds:

Vintage Reptile Bag: $4

I found this super neat piece in the basement for $4! I left it down there before talking to Fia. Once she informed me that all of the purses in the basement were $4, I put my margarita down and ran down there so quick to grab it!

Vintage Inspired Jacket: $35

I also snatched up this AMAZING piece from upstairs. It was definitely on the more expensive side for me ($35), but I could not keep my eyes off of it and I know I would have regretted leaving it. Also, I looked up the designer (I am SO not a label person so I always have to google) and let’s just say, $35 for this jacket is a steal! The detail in the pattern and the Victorian/vintage design is what really got me. I’m excited to wear it. Now I just have to figure out where!

I am so glad I finally made my way to Fia’s Fabulous Finds. If you’re ever in the area, check her out! Bonus: The Store is Black Woman Owned, so you’ll be able to find great pieces while also supporting a female minority owned business!

Just so you know, this is not an advertisement and I did not receive any of my items for free or for a discount in connection with this blog. I just love supporting entrepreneurs and shopping (sigh), so check her out!
