Not until I was reading a hair blog (I wish I could remember which one it was because I read so many) did I realize that this was a problem! Although the ouchless ponytail holders are better than the old school ones with the large metal clasp, these bad boys were still ripping my hair out!

Eureka! I found these at the beauty supply store for like $2! There is no seam of any kind so there is nothing grabbing on to your hair. I’m much happier with these ponytail holders and for some reason, they make the BOMB poof!

Have you experienced knots of hair around your “ouchless” ponytail holders? Maybe try considering the alternative seamless holders!

  1. Yes, it’s the worst when you try so hard to be gentle with your hair and the ponytail holders just rip it right out! So glad you found these alternatives as well. And thanks for the compliment!

  2. Hi which store did you grab those from?? I’m starting to do more ponytails and I don’t want to destroy my progress.
